Much like Basil Hallward’s portrait of Dorian Gray, the initial LIPUR World projects—and LIPUR's very essence—are an exploration of artistic inspiration and the human psyche. In Wilde's tale, the artist Hallward captured an almost divine innocence, only to watch as his creation became corrupted by the hedonistic influence of Lord Henry. Here, however, the dynamic is different. Leeky Bandz, with his raw and direct urban realism, provides the unfiltered emotional canvas, while LIPUR, the self-described "failed musician turned lyrical astronaut," adds an un-orthodox layer of traditional creation.
